Hi All,

Hope you are doing great.

In this tutorial, we will be looking into script fields and shortcuts wrt the script field.

Let’s first try to understand what is ServiceNow Script Field,

ServiceNow Script Include :

To get the date and time when a field in a ServiceNow form was last updated by a user, you can use the “sys_updated_on” and “sys_updated_by” fields. These fields are automatically populated with the date and time when a record is created or updated, and the user who made the change.

To access the “sys_updated_on” and “sys_updated_by” fields, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the form containing the field you want to check.
2. In the form, scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for the “sys_updated_on” and “sys_updated_by” fields.
3. The “sys_updated_on” field will show the date and time when the record was last updated, and the “sys_updated_by” field will show the user who made the change.

Note: The “sys_updated_on” and “sys_updated_by” fields will only be populated if the area has been updated by a user. If the field has not been updated, these fields will be empty.
